The Polycon Spray Gun uses a selection of plug-in nozzles and plug-in containers to spray a wide variety of difficult to spray materials. Resins, gelcoat and adhesives as well as ordinary paints can all be sprayed with the POLYCON gun.
Polythene containers and short, straight fluid passages virtually eliminate clean up and clogging problems even for fast re-acting resins. Nine sizes of nozzles and three sizes of containers are available. Operating on air pressure from 30-150 psi, rates of application can be very slow for fine work, up to 81bs per minute for fast spraying of large structures. The plug-in containers allow for quick change of colours or materials. |

Nozzles range in size from 1/32 (0.8mm) to 9/32" (7.Omm) bore diameter. Large diameters are for fast spraying of large areas
or for spraying of high viscosity resins. Small diameters are best for better control in spraying small areas or for slower rates of application with low viscosity fluids such as thinned lacquer. |

There are two sizes of re-usable polythene containers - 1.1 and 2.2 litres.
There are two sizes of container lids and container support brackets. The small lid and bracket are used with the 0.5l Polythene containers, and the large lid and bracket with 1.1l and 2.2 litre polythene containers. The lids have a nozzle hole and a small vent hole and are also supplied without holes for storing spray materials in the container.
Normal operating pressures range from 30 to 150psi. Pressures of 30 to 50 psi are best for spraying paints, lacquers and some adhesives, 50 to 80 psi for resins and gelcoat, and 80 to 150 psi for resins and gelcoat, and 80 to 150 psi for plaster and very viscous or fast reacting resins. Air volume in cubic feet per minute varies with the nozzle clearance setting. At the normal clearance of .010 inch the spray gun uses 10 CFM at 30 psi which increases linearly to 30 CFM at 100 psi.
